I am currently a high school English, Writing, and U.S. History teacher in Chicago Lawn/Marquette Park on the Southwest Side of Chicago.
I created Free Thinking in June of 2011; my goal was (and remains) to create and maintain a blog that promotes free and critical thinking, examination (and when appropriate, criticism) of our country and world, and ongoing discussion.
It is a collection of my writings since July of 2010, and spans both the content of my studies in philosophy and psychology at the undergraduate level, special education at the graduate level, and my experiences as an educator.
I am originally from Claremont, CA, battled the Massachusetts cold during my undergrad years, and currently find myself in the Midwest.
